Kilimanjaro Climb Marangu Route: 6 days/5 nights

Tour Overview

Marangu Route

The Marangu route is less interesting than the others, as it’s a straight up and down trek via the same route. The chance of reaching the summit is lower as well due to less opportunity to acclimatize. Some people prefer it because they want to stay in huts and find it to be cheaper. If these aspects are important to you, we can arrange a 6-day Marangu climb. However, in our experience, the Machame route is preferable. We wouldn’t recommend a 5-day Marangu climb as the success rate for reaching the summit is less than 50%. It would be a shame for you to make such a great effort and incur so much expense if you don’t have a good chance of reaching the top!
