Tour Plan

Day 1:Arusha- Let the adventure begin!

When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport our guide will be there waiting for you. He’ll drop you off at your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax in the authentic African atmosphere, sipping on a typical African drink. And of course, you can cool down with a swim in the pool.

Your personal guide is very experienced and knowledgeable about the amazing nature that attracts so many tourists to this country and knows a lot about African culture and customs. So don’t hesitate to ask him questions from the beginning – he loves to answer all of them!

The next day your journey really kicks off!

Accommodation: Planet Lodge is one of the most beautiful lodges in Arusha, situated in a beautiful, natural environment close to the city.

The lodge has a lovely swimming pool, making it the ideal place to relax with a tasty drink. The beautiful rooms. gorgeous restaurant and lovely food make it the perfect place to start your safari.

Day 2:TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After a delicious breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. This park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees that can live for hundreds of years. In the dry season, it’s possible to see groups of up to 250 elephants here! They can weigh up to six thousand kilos and have a special technique to draw water from the baobab trees. Your private guide can tell you everything about this.

But Tarangire has many more wild animals, which you can spot most easily at the Tarangire River or Lake Barunge – the main water source of the park – when they come to relieve their thirst.

Day 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Today you will enjoy the excellent view over Lake Manyara, see elephants up close in the woodlands and visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool where many of, many hippos take to the water from early morning until late in the evening. Besides all this, the park offers a great view of the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley.

This tear in the earth came into existence 22 to 25 million years ago, when movement in a weak area of the earth’s crust led to the formation of a rift thousands of kilometers long through the whole of East Africa. The valley is so enormous it can be seen from outer space and it has many unique landscapes that attract a vast number of different animals. Besides being home to Lake Manyara itself you can also find dense rainforest here with hundreds of groups of monkeys and a huge number of birds.

Day 4-5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The highlight of the safari awaits you today – Serengeti National Park. Serengeti NP is widely known as the place to go on safari, mostly because of the great migration. Many of the most impressive nature films are shot during this movement of large animals, and together with your guide, you will witness for yourself the enormous, stampeding herds on their search for food. An experience never to forget!

The word Serengeti stems from the Maasai language and literally means endless plains. Many predators roam these vast grasslands; over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you. Are you ready for this?

Acc: Thorn Tree Camp is a beautiful, modern, tented camp in the Serengeti National Park. Here you can enjoy the Serengeti as it’s supposed to be enjoyed – feeling one with nature.

Thorn Tree is known for its quality service and beautiful food. Guests often describe their stay as the experience of a lifetime, far above their expectations of a ‘camp’!

Day 6: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

Today you will visit one of the seven African wonders –  the Ngorongoro Crater, created when a huge volcano erupted two million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem; the crater has the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa! While descending from the rim onto the crater floor you will be surrounded by the most beautiful animals. When below, the views are astounding – you won’t know where to look!

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. And nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhino. So if you want to see the big five – this is the place to be!

Acc: Hhando Coffee Lodge lies at the edge of the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As the name implies, the lodge is built next to a coffee plantation, so you can enjoy a delicious cup of fresh local coffee in the morning. And if this makes you curious about the plantation, you can book a tour that will teach you everything about growing coffee here. If, on the other hand, you prefer to stay in the lodge you shouldn’t be surprised if you encounter a group of elephants, buffalos, baboons or other animals!

Day 7: KARATU- ARUSHA ( A wonderful relaxing day…)

Today will be a wonderful, relaxing day. After 3 hours drive from Karatu to Arusha, you will spend the rest of the day relaxing. If you like you can spend the whole day at the lodge being spoiled by the staff, having drinks served at the pool, and enjoying the wonderful scenery of Arusha. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of nature that you will only hear in Tanzania. Relax in this wonderful African atmosphere that allows you to leave all your worries behind…

If you feel energetic enough to go out, Arusha offers plenty of nice activities. Choose a city tour – a nice experience that allows you to see the daily life of the Tanzanian people; or visit the Maasai market. You could also rent a canoe and explore the beautiful Lake Duluti.
